Making A Full House A Home For Two!

I’m so excited to be participating in the #write31days for the month of October. I had so many different ideas for what I wanted to write on this month and I settled on focusing in on the season of life that I am in right now, which is the “empty nest” season. I’ve talked to some people who do not like the term, empty nest. I actually did some research on possible ways to word it different. I wasn’t able to find anything that sounded right. I personally don’t mind the term, “empty nest.” I think it’s kind of cute……

Are you getting ready to transition your closet for the new season? I’m so excited to share with you a new online video course by my friend, Shari Braendel. Shari is a Christian Fashion Stylist and I had the privilege of training under her to do the same. It has opened my eyes to so many things that pertain to fashion. Body type, fashion style and wearing the correct colors in your wardrobe are some of the things that I learned and I can’t wait to share with you all that I’ve learned. But first, let’s talk about Shari’s new…
Where Were You on 9/11?

Today we are remembering 9/11. Each time I see the videos of that horrific day on 9/11, my mind goes back to where I was and what I was doing? We were living in Edmond, Oklahoma. I was getting ready to attend a ladies Bible study at our church. I turned the news on to listen as I was getting ready. I passed by the television just in time to see the first plane fly into one of the Twin Towers in New York City. I sat down and watched and felt such pain for the people that were in…

Hi Friends! I’m doing some “housekeeping” on my blog today. A few updates and a few changes are always needed. To all the readers of, His Heart, My Desire……THANK YOU! I so love to hear feed back and my heart skips a beat when I get a message or a comment that something resonated with them in what I wrote. If you haven’t noticed, I seem to LOVE everything. Especially, if it sparkles! I’m an avid magazine reader and I like to think of my blog as an uplifting, inspiring and encouraging magazine. The Lord has shown me many things…

The bell has rung and school has started! For some, you are waiting until the day after Labor Day. When I was a homeschool mom, we would begin our studies the day after Labor Day. For the month of September, I will be posting on the subject of homeschooling. Whether you are a seasoned homeschooler, just beginning, just curious or you would like to be an encourager to a homeschool family, this is the place for you. First of all, congratulations, Mom and Dad for deciding to take on such an endeavor to educate your own children. You are in…
Sunglass Fever!

Sad to say, I didn’t really wear sunglasses until a few years ago. Every now and then I would get a pair and I would lose them or they would break. When I had to get some reading glasses, I noticed that the sun seemed to bother me more than it had before. I also read an article on how cataracts might be caused by not protecting our eyes from the sun. Then it happened…I fell in love with sunglasses! My most recent purchase was a pair of Brighton sunglasses. They use Swarovski crystals in all of their glasses…
