The Graceland Tour

When in Memphis, you have to visit Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley! The first time I visited was about 16 years ago and it was a fast trip. We were just passing through and decided to stop. We walked through very fast and went on our way. This time, we took our time. The first thing I noticed about Graceland, is that the house wasn’t as big as I had thought. When you go inside, it is pretty tight. But, the decor is so much fun to look at. I have fond memories of the 70’s, so I loved…

One day last year as I was driving and listening to Elvis Radio on Sirius XM Radio, I heard about plans for a new hotel that would be built and the opening day would be in October of 2016. I did some research and thought what fun that would be to be able to tour Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley and stay at a brand new hotel. My Elvis Crush!

I usually would fall asleep at movies and I’m sure I did this time, but not soon enough to notice how handsome he was on the big screen. Elvis Presley made…

For the past few years my hubby and I have been able to do some things that we never were able to do when we were younger due to time, finances and the different schedules of us and our kiddos. What fun it has been to be able to just get up and go on a trip at the spur of the moment. Earlier this year we were thinking we wanted to go to California around the Pebble Beach area. In doing some research, my husband found a cruise that goes along the entire West Coast from San Diego…
Loving Your Extended Family Members

Today’s post will cover three days of articles on the subject of the empty nest years. I try to take weekends off. This one will cover, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for my challenge of Writing for 31 Days. As you can see, I’ve been writing on, Making a Full House a Home For Two. I want to talk about a maybe delicate subject for many and an easy one for some; loving and enjoying your extended family members. The best way to start is to tell my story. I grew up in a broken home. Having grandparents around and aunts,…
