Do You Have Love?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love….” Galatians 5:22 In this passage the word love is speaking of an Agape Love, (unselfish commitment) which is God’s love. When you have God’s love in your life, it will bubble out in every situation. Yes, even the not so pleasant events of life. This love will give you a joy and a peace within! People around you will see it, feel it and know it!. Some may find it hard to comprehend and understand why you have the love that you do. The world’s love is conditional. God’s love is…
Is Your Fruit Showing?

During the month of March, each of the 31 days on my FaceBook, I posted a “Kindness Tip.” I was encouraged to be more intentional in being kind to others. I will be listing those on my blog soon for those that don’t have FaceBook. I was challenged by a friend to carry on with the tips, but, use the “Fruit of the Spirit” from the book of Galatians. I had a plan with another project, but as I was reading through Galatians, I thought, I might give it a try. So, here we go….. Reflections of Christ When…
Showing Kindness to the Homeless

If you follow me on FaceBook, you’ve followed along as I am sharing, 31 Kindness Tips, for the month of March. Today, I wrote the following: “Kindness Tip #11 – Yesterday I saw a man on the corner with a sign that said he was needing help. What struck me was how healthy and young he looked. Being intentional about spending time in God’s Word doesn’t come easy sometimes. Especially, for people like me, who can procrastinate anything away. That’s how I feel when I let the things in life get in the way of my time with God. I am choosing to be intentional about my reading of the scriptures and memorizing the verses that I want to hide in…

May I introduce you to my friend, Karin Naylor? I’m pretty sure the year was 2000. Our family had moved to Edmond, Oklahoma with our family business. We leased a house since we didn’t know how long we would be there. It was a beautiful house and in a very nice neighborhood. I loved living in Edmond. The neighborhood didn’t seem too friendly, but I stayed busy with homeschooling, exploring the Oklahoma City area and trying to get situated in a new church. Other than the neighborhood, Edmond folks were very friendly. Our daughter and I were interested in…
2015! I’m Ready!

2015! I’m Ready! (well, sort of) I’m in the middle of putting away my Christmas decor. This is the part where I start second guessing myself wondering if I’m a bit out of control. I think I know the answer to that. Yes, I am. I love Christmas with all the lights and glitter and specialness that goes on. My vacuum cleaner thinks it has landed on Planet Glitter. This was the year that I was going to go through all of my ornaments and get rid of things I’m tired of or just don’t work for me. I…
