It’s Fall, Ya’ll!
I finally made it to my blog! I took a summer break with every intention of posting in September. Life had some interesting turns since the end of May and it has been non-stop since then. I will share a few things with you in the next couple of weeks. But, today I wanted to share a few fall photos of some decorating around our home. To be honest with you, it took every thing I had in me to get my decorating done. I secretly wished we could go away on a 6 month cruise and not have to think about anything but staring at the beautiful ocean. I really wouldn’t want to do that, but, I did dream about it a few times wondering how that would feel. Jim and I were on a cruise a few years ago and we met a lady who was a widow and she went from cruise to cruise by herself. She was traveling the world at her own pace. I’m not sure I could do that, but, she seemed to love it. Okay, back to what I wanted to share with you today.
This year, I went a little easy. I have several fall decorating bins that I didn’t even open. Each year I do a fall tree in our entry way. I skipped the tree idea this year. Here is the picture from last year. I loved the colors.
Usually this time of year I’m already starting to think of Christmas decorating. I’m not sure yet how I’m going to handle all of that. I will get there, I’m just not going to think about it all right now.
Here in west Texas we are just starting to have some fall type weather. Fall is my favorite season. We usually will take a trip to Missouri to see the fall colors this time of year; it will have to wait until next year. For now, I will enjoy each day and do my best not to open the rest of my fall decorating bins. “That’s enough, Beverly, you will be okay!”
I have so much to be thankful for. The Lord has shown me many things the past several months and it has taught me to trust Him even more.
I so hope you have perfect peace when the issues of life come on strong. Knowing Jesus Christ brings such peace in so many ways. And…..Happy Fall!
Until next time,
Your decorations are stunning and appear as if you hire a professional. That is a gift. With such extensive changes, do you start in September?
Thank you for the suggestion to see fall color in Missouri. New England ISN’T the only place to enjoy the season. Where would you recommend?
Thank you for the inspiration and beautiful words. 🍁
Thank you, Caroline! I usually begin decorating the first of September. This year it was towards the end of September before I got started.
We like to go to Branson and site see around the Ozarks and into Arkansas. New England probably can’t be beat, but the Ozarks are beautiful to see.
Thank you again for your kind words!
Beautiful decorations!!! And thank you so much for including that verse in Proverbs. As I was scrolling down, I stopped there, and just enjoyed the colorful fall leaves and let that verse, which is one of my favorites, wash over me. I needed that! Thank you, Beverly <3
Thank you, Karin! I’m glad the verse was a beautiful reminder for you just as it was for me. Enjoy your fall…I’m sure it is beautiful where you are!
