A Room for Crafting and a Closet of Craziness

A few years ago, we changed a guest bedroom into my craft and sewing room. I’ve really enjoyed being able to go in and create and then leave it until I’m finished. No more putting the sewing machine away even if I were in the middle of a project. I think one of my favorite things about this craft room is when our grand kiddos are here and they can go in and create all kinds of things. I try to keep supplies on hand that they can just help themselves to. I loved the time I got to teach…

I just reached my five year anniversary in sponsoring a child through Compassion International. When I first began sponsoring a little girl in Guatemala, she was only 5 years old. I do hope you go see it. I do my best to get to the theaters when a faith based movie comes out; number one, to support it and number two, because I hope to be inspired and encouraged in my walk with Christ. How refreshing it is to be able to watch a movie without bad language that…

After being in full time ministry alongside my husband for two decades of our marriage, I discovered that yes, being a pastor’s wife is a lonely place to be. At least that is how it was when we served. During our time, money was extremely tight, we never had any extra money for anything outside of the basic needs. I really didn’t mind living that way. I never really thought about it much; I just knew that this was our calling and I was at peace with that. My focus was on my home and family. There were few times…
