Happy New Year!

sip-sip-2

May you have a Fabulous New Year!  I love the word fabulous and just had to get it in somehow!  I think it works!

I just wanted to tell you, my readers, thank you for visiting my blog and for the notes I’ve received of how something I wrote encouraged you or helped you somehow.  I love writing and getting what is floating in my brain in print.  Double thank you to those that subscribe to my blog.  You trust me enough to have me pop into your inbox on a regular basis and share what is on my heart.  As you can tell, I love everything and am interested in so many things and I always can’t wait to share with you the latest!  I had to set goals for my blog to keep me on track.

Speaking of goals…..did you set some for the New Year?  I love setting goals!  The beginning of the New Year is a chance to make some changes to  better ourselves.  As I tell myself, if I blow it the first of the year, there is always a Monday to start over with.  Mondays are great, aren’t they?  I have a journal that I keep my goals in and check in on it to make sure I’m on track on a regular basis.  I look forward to sharing some of those with you in the next few weeks!

Did you choose a word for 2017?  This is my third year to choose a word.  It really does keep me focused (my word from last year) and it helps me to stay motived.  This year my word is………drumroll…..Tenacity!  Seems like a strange word to use doesn’t it?  I like it, though!  Years ago, a lady told me, “Beverly, you are so tenacious!”  I just smiled because I didn’t have a clue what she meant.  I had to look it up when I got home.  I thought, “Wow, she thinks that about me?”  The truth is, there are a few things in my life that I need to be more tenacious about.  Hopefully, this is the year that I will get it!  What does Tenacity mean, you ask? *Tenacity is the quality displayed by someone who just won’t quit — who keeps trying until they reach their goal.

  1. Great word I’ve had words before but didn’t last year nor do I for this year. I did get myself a Chronilogical Bible and intend to read it through this year. I love the format, so interesting! Happy new year my friend!
