I love seeing what Kate is up to and I thought what fun to interview her and share her with my readers!  I hope you enjoy this short interview with Kate Fisher!

Beverly:  Hi Kate!  Thanks for agreeing to let me interview you today!  Let’s see, I’ve known you for 15 years, but could you share a little bit about yourself for our readers today?

Kate:  I am a 15 year old who loves to laugh and get dressed up. I attend high school at Midland Christian School and go to Stonegate Fellowship. I love hanging out with my friends, shopping, and baking.

Beverly: When did you first realize that you were interested in fashion?

Kate: Well… I’ve loved fashion my whole life. My mom tells me that even when I was in 1st grade, I was wanting to get dressed up and always look fabulous, haha! Over the past year and a half I realized that I’d like to take my love for fashion seriously and so I started this blog.

Beverly:  How do you decide what outfit you will showcase on your blog?

Kate:  When deciding on what to put on my blog, I like to think of what other people can relate to. And by that, I mean affordable priced clothing and stuff like that. I am in high school, so it’s not like most people my age can go out and buy a Chanel handbag, haha! Although I do like to post items like that sometimes, I also want to post stuff that high school girls can afford. I love to post outfits that I feel confident in. If I don’t absolutely love the outfit, I won’t post it.

Beverly:  Do you have a fashion icon that is your favorite, besides me?  Kidding!!!

Kate:  Fashion icon wise, I love Katey McFarlan’s style. She’s a blogger I recently found and I became obsessed! I read her blog everyday! She has such a cute and tasteful fashion sense.
I also love Grace Kelly. That woman is the definition of elegance, beauty, and class.

Beverly:  Grace Kelly is one of my favorites, too! What are some of your favorite brands?

Kate:  Oh man, there are too many brands I love to name. But a few would definitely be: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, lulu lemon and Sherri Hill.

Beverly:  Do you hope to have a career in the fashion world?

Kate: My goal is to have my blog as my career one day, which would be a dream come true. It would definitely be an answered prayer if I made it in the blogging world. I think that your career should be your passion and what you love to do and I love fashion and blogging. It has been so fun, so I really do hope it can be my job one day.

Beverly:  What is your best advice for a young girl who is learning how to find her style and her fashion choice?

Kate:  My best advice for a young girl who’s trying to find her style is to take chances on your outfits. If you’re not sure if other people will like it but you feel confident and love it, go for it girl! I would also say, don’t always follow the trends, be unique with what you wear!

Beverly:  Can you share with us a typical day in the life of Kate Fisher?

Kate:  A day in my life isn’t all that exciting. haha! Since I’m in school, that’s what I’m always doing. I wake up, usually try to wear something cute but it can be difficult since our dress code is very strict, go to school, have cheer practice in the evening, and then I go home and do homework!

Beverly:  How would you describe the way you like to dress?

Kate:  To describe the way I dress, I’d say I lean towards the more modest stye, but I like to keep it interesting with fun statement pieces. I love to look sassy all while keeping it classy.

Beverly:  What current trends do you love and what trends do you stay away from?

Kate:  My favorite trend right now is the over-the-knee boot trend! I am OBSESSED! they automatically dress up any outfit you put on! I also love the Kendra Scott trend that has been around for the past year or so! Her pieces are very classy. Another one I love would be the off-the-shoulder top trend!
Trends I try to stay away from:
only wearing one earring trend and super short shorts in the summer

Beverly:  What advice would you give girls who are trying to find their fashion style?  I sort of asked that already, didn’t I?  Oh, well, tell us more!

Kate:  The main point I’m trying to get across on my blog is just keeping people up to date with trends and products I love. I want people to take advice from my outfits and be inspired.

Beverly:  What is your main message that you hope to get across on your fashion blog?

Kate: The message in the title of my blog is pretty much just summing up what my style is… Sassy and classy!

Beverly:  I like that!  I think you work that very well! What are some of your favorite fashion blogs that you read?

Kate:  Some of my favorite blogs to read are: Chronicles of Frivolity, Southern Curls and Pearls, Champagne and Chanel, and The Sweetest Thing.

Beverly:  Kate! Thank you so much for letting me question you about what you are up to with your blog!  I look forward to keeping up with you and learning all the latest styles and trends that you will be sharing with us.  I wish you great success with your blog!  I can’t wait to see what all is in store for you in 2017!  Now, have I told you all the stories about your dad when we were growing up?  Remind me, next time we get together. I have some good ones!
