Christmas Home Tour 2022

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year! I’m sitting here looking at the tree thinking how peaceful it all is still. I decorated the house the first part of November. I tend to decorate every nook and cranny, so I like to get started early, so I can enjoy it. The only draw back is celebrating Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations all around. I’ve just made up my mind that Thanksgiving and Christmas are so close together that I can celebrate both without feeling guilty. I decorate for fall at the beginning of September, so I have plenty of time to enjoy all the fall decor. On Thanksgiving Day, I did redecorate the dining table with all fall for our Thanksgiving meal. Then as I cleaned up, I replaced it with the Christmas decor. Usually right after Christmas I like to begin the take down. My Jim likes to keep it up until the first. He doesn’t know this but I begin taking things down in the guests rooms etc but leave the main trees up to enjoy until the first of the year. Which at this moment, I’m glad the tree is still up. I love the twinkle lights on the mantle garland and tree and all the quiet and peacefulness. I will say as soon as the first comes it is “Mission Christmas Put Away” in full speed. Here are just a few pics of a few of my favorite spots around the house this year. I have 6 trees up this year and various vignettes around the house of Christmas fun!

I’ve loved Christmas since I was a young girl! I love the twinkling lights, beautiful vibrant colors of red and green, people seem happier than usual, the music, the smells, I could go on and on….

I will stop now. I could go on and on with all the things that make me smile around the house. I hope you got a little bit of a smile. We will talk more tomorrow! After my blogging break, I have so much to share with you; I can’t wait!

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

    1. Hi Linda! It all depends on what is going on. If I get started first thing in the morning on my decorating, I can work all day and maybe half of the next day. I can take it all down in one day. My hubby does all the outdoors and stacking my containers for me in my Christmas closet in the garage. If a lot is going on I can drag it out for a few days. But, I like to get it up and down as fast as possible.
