Some Little Tweaks Here and There!

Summer Projects Completed!

I finally sat down and finished a few projects around the house.

This was the final touch I wanted to do for the Gold Guest Room.  The rest of this room can been seen at this link:

We put new carpet in my husband’s home office, so new drapes were due.  One thing leads to another, so I made these.

I found these tie backs at Bed Bath and Beyond. Perfect!

A close up of the fabric I used and then added burlap trim.  The fabric is a western print.
This is the new carpet.  You can’t tell much, but it is a pretty red with tan/beige stars.

Perfect addition to hubby’s office.

I’ve always wanted to add some pillows to the bench in the laundry room.  A cute cherry print is on the other side of the pillows.

My philosophy is, you can’t have too many cameos around.

One of my key verses!  I found this at Hobby Lobby!

I changed out the dishes in my curio.  I love black/white dishes!
Found this cute pillow at Hobby Lobby.  I put it in my sewing room, since it is the only place with pink. I would like to bling this pillow up, but maybe another day.

A sweet friend gave me these safety pins for my sewing room for my birthday.  They came from Ballard Designs.

My home office.  I moved things around on desk on changed some things on the wall.
The window treatment in my home office.  Sort of dark, but it is in the gold/brown.
A good place to read.
I stacked my books instead of lining them up.  Not sure if I will like this or not, but saw it in a magazine and gave it a whirl.

I found this pillow in Branson, MO.

  2. What a beautiful home you’ve created. I especially like the guest bedroom. Where did you get the bedding? It’s gorgeous! Have a great weekend. Blessings, Dani

  3. Wow, your home office looks as big as my family room/dinette combined! I came across your blog via a link at The Crowned Casa, a website I just love! You have a lovely home office and hit just the right combination of function, practicality with style and coziness. I need to study it and see if there are some ideas I can borrow 🙂

  4. Beverly,
Your guest bedroom is lovely. I enjoyed browsing through the different rooms in your home. You know, black, white, and red combination is a favorite of mine. The bird pillow is sweet. You have given me inspiration to decorate for the Fall season coming up.
