Women over 45 are daily bombarded with tips on how to dress and look 10 to 20 years younger. It can become very frustrating with so many different ideas on what is young looking. After reading this book you will have the knowledge of what will work on your body type and within your personal image to be a confident well- dressed woman. Mr. Hopkins shares his expertise in that most of the latest trends in makeup colors only make us look older. You will learn the proper way to put color on your face that enhances your features. With all the latest fads that come and go, we can lose our identity of who we are and the image we want to portray. You can become secure in what works for you, what doesn’t and be confident that you are looking your best.

I was encouraged by Christopher Hopkins book in that he describes in detail why certain makeup colors don’t work on older women. Not only that, there is a test that you can take to determine your style once and for all. Once that is determined, he has suggestions on how to keep your style, but enhance it with what works for women over 45. There are six basic image profiles: Classic, Casual, Romantic, Dramatic, Innovative and Alluring. We may have a little of each one, but you will more than likely have one main primary image along with a shadow image. He does the same with our body type. Choosing the right clothing that matches your body type can make you look much younger, thinner and put together without any type of surgery or dieting.

This book is filled with vibrant pictures of hairstyles, make-up techniques and actual makeovers that are amazing. Staging Your Comeback has worksheets and instructions on preparing your own Style Notebook that will help you build your image to be the best possible you.

I feel as Christian women, we should always look our best and put our best foot forward. We represent Christ everywhere we go and facts are facts, people will decide if they want to hear what we have to say within seconds of first meeting us by the way we present ourselves. “…for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” I Samuel 16:7b (NKJV) May our hearts be pure before the Lord and then we can share with other women about the grace and mercy of God and not let our appearance hinder our testimony for Him.
